Experience

Tracey is one of the UK’s very few dual qualified solicitor/trade mark attorneys.

Following a 10 year stint at top firm Shoosmiths, where she headed up the Trade Mark Practice, Tracey made the move to in-house counsel.  Her first move took her to luxury goods giant Richemont where she looked after brands such as Net-A-Porter, Azzedine Alaïa and dunhill, and then to DIAGEO where she was responsible for the regional trade mark and design portfolio across all of EMEA and global trade mark issues for the gins, beers and Baileys portfolios.  Her role also required her to work closely with the global brand and innovation teams and regional IP counsel in order to bring new products, variants and campaigns to market.

Tracey is a rare breed: she is extremely professional and possesses a vast knowledge of trade mark law. She pays incredible attention to detail, yet is able to cut through all the nonsense and get to right to the point of the matter. I can't recommend Tracey highly enough.

“Tracey is one of the most personable legal professionals I have ever worked with was excellent at translating the normal legal jargon so that even I understood it! .Tracey effectively managed our whole IP case, even down to negotiating with Amazon, resulting in a very positive outcome that we didn’t think was possible. Tracey is very reliable and honest and genuinely cares about what her client needs and wants. Tracey has a clear understanding of commercial business operations, which was extremely important to us, we not only needed to resolve our legal issues but we also had to keep our business operating. I really hope we do not need another IP lawyer, however, if we do, I know who to call!”
